Australian Specialist Physiotherapy Education (ASPE) provides education for physiotherapists at an advanced level. All educators are clinical specialists with extensive university teaching experience. As such ASPE’s vision is to facilitate the education of physiotherapists to progress toward clinical excellence or clinical specialisation in the management of musculoskeletal pain.

All educators are specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapists (FACP), as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists. As such, they are dedicated to providing quality, cutting edge and clinically relevant education for physiotherapists and other health professionals.

All educators have extensive university educational experience, with current appointments at Sydney, Macquarie, Curtin and South Australian Universities. Due to this and their national and international reputations, all educators are frequently invited to present professional development courses and workshops on a state, national and international level.

All of our educators are either involved with, produce or are highly informed by the latest research in their respective areas of expertise. All ASPE courses as a result integrate the latest research, which is implemented with advanced clinical reasoning.

Finally all courses utilise complex cases and patient demonstrations to illustrate the clinical reasoning processes involved in assessment, differential diagnosis, prognosis and management of complex musculoskeletal pain conditions.

To date our courses cover low back pain, pelvic pain, neck pain, headache, dizziness, whiplash and shoulder pain.

ASPE is the education affiliate of the private practice Sydney Specialist Physiotherapy Centre.
